Vembanur wetland complex Clean-Up InitiativeOn 26.09.2024, a team of 40 school students, dedicated volunteers and forest officers from Vembanur wetland complex embarked on a clean-up activity. Collected approximately 60kg of plastic and other waste.

Mobilising Wetland Mitras and local community people around Suchindrum Theroor Wetland complex in which 30 people where participated.

Clean-up activities has been carried out by the sree ayyappa college for women, the 10 loads of glass/dry waste collected from Suchindram Theroor Wetland Complex.

Cleanup drive to remove plastic and glass bottles

As a part of World Environment Day celebration 2024, planting of taller seedlings were planted in Adarsh Vidya Kendra, Nagercoil nearly with the participants of 100 staffs in the event including School Chairman, Principal, Students, Workers and Staff's of Forest Department. In addition to this,activity of removing water hyacinth drive was carried out in Suchindrum Theroor Managudi Conservation Reserve area with the participants of NGO , Staff's of Forest department. Further, painting competition conducted in Kamaraj Polytechnic towards the occasion of World Environment and prizes were distributed to winning participants.Signature campaign awareness done in udayagiri fort by creating awareness to visitors through NGO - Bairavi Foundation.The following officers participated in theevent.

Celebrated Wetlands Day with 100 Government school kids partnering with WWF. The kids were educated about the dams and wetlands in KK district

Conducted nature walk for students and local people. Taught them about the importance of beach and the wild beings using them. Showed them the requirements for turtle nesting in the beaches. Taught them the need for native bushes in the shoreline.
